Debut was a worldwide success, raising the expectations for Bjork's second album, Post. Bjork doesn't depart from the innovations of Debut, she refines them, pushing the jazz/dance fusions into different territories, like the big-band explosions of "It's Oh So Quiet" and the trancey "Possibly Maybe." While it's more subtle and not quite as infectious as Debut, the album is more accomplished and varied, switching from the menacing "Army of Me" to the graceful "Isobel" without seeming incoherent.
